Oxygen is essential for nearly every healing and energy-producing process in the body. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy uses increased atmospheric pressure while a patient breathes oxygen to raise the amount of oxygen dissolved in the blood. Synaptic offers access to hyperbaric technology as part of its broader recovery services.
During a session, a patient rests inside a pressurized chamber. Under appropriately designed medical HBOT conditions, breathing oxygen at increased pressure raises oxygen levels in the blood and tissues. This can be useful in specific medical conditions where oxygen delivery and wound healing are impaired. The actual pressure and oxygen concentration of a chamber matter: lower-pressure wellness systems are not equivalent to medical HBOT protocols.
Medical HBOT has recognized uses for selected difficult-to-heal wounds, certain radiation injuries, decompression sickness, and other specific conditions. Its use for routine athletic recovery, uncomplicated soft-tissue injuries, and general longevity is an area of ongoing research rather than an established indication.
Patients relax in the chamber during a monitored session. Pressure changes may cause ear fullness similar to air travel. A medical review is important before treatment, particularly for people with certain lung or ear problems. Oxygen and pressure-related risks, including ear injury and rare oxygen toxicity, depend on the equipment and protocol.
When clinically appropriate, hyperbaric treatment can be considered alongside standard wound care or other established therapies. For sports recovery or wellness goals, we discuss the evidence and whether the chamber and treatment parameters match the intended use. HBOT does not replace diagnosis, physical rehabilitation, or necessary medical treatment.
The Synaptic Way starts with the reason for treatment. We assess the patient, the specific device, and the evidence before deciding whether hyperbaric sessions belong in a personalized recovery plan. We focus on thoughtful integration, not adding technology simply because it is available.
“The mission of Synaptic is to help people stay strong, active, healthy, and engaged throughout every stage of life by combining longevity medicine, regenerative therapies, recovery science, and athlete-focused care into one integrated system.”
Whether the goal is optimizing athletic performance, improving recovery, restoring energy, or supporting healthy aging, Synaptic focuses on helping the body function at a higher level for longer. Using modern therapies such as Hormone Replacement Therapy, NAD optimization, Regenerative medicine, Chiropractic body work, PRP, Tenex, EBOO, and advanced recovery modalities, Synaptic is designed to support performance, resilience, recovery, and long-term vitality.
